The Grainger Engineering Library Information Center opened on March 15, 1994. The building has 92,000 square feet of assignable space and includes reading, seminar and conference rooms as well as group and scholar study spaces.
The fourth floor contains Group Study rooms (walk-in & by reservation), an EWS Windows Lab, the Center for Academic Resources in Engineering (CARE), the Writer's Workshop, and Scholar Studies rooms.
The third floor contains stacks, Conference Rooms, and study carrels.
The second floor contains the Grand Gallery, stacks, Commons, the West Pavilion Gallery, and the East Pavilion Gallery.
The first floor contains the Circulation and Reserve Desks, the Reference Collection, Current Periodicals and Standards, Vending Machines, and the Staff Area.
The lower level contains Stacks, Study Carrels, The Engineering Documents Collection, an EWS Linux Computer Lab, Microforms, and the Digital Library Research Laboratory.
